Which alpaca yarn should I get for blanket?

In terms of which way will allow me to knit a decent size of a blanket cost effectively. There’s more yardage in the first one and I know its skinny but would it ever knit more than the less yardage chunky one?

Both yarns are supposed to knit at approximately the same gauge (5.5 or 6 sts/inch) although on very different size needles (US10 vs 3). The Cascade yarn is more than 3 times more expensive ($16.50 vs $5 per 200yds) although you would have some choice of color with the Cascade and it sells by skein. The brown yarn from alpaca warehouse may only come in bags of 10 skeins (or a single bag) so that may be a consideraton too.
