When I finish knitting, my project already looks frizzy and worn?

I am a pretty new knitter but have become addicted to making baby beanies for my photog. biz.

Anyways, I have a problem.

When I finish knitting, my project already looks frizzy and worn??? Almost like a sweater that I’ve had for years.

I like to use the real chunky wool-eeze yarn.

Does anybody know how to fix this? Can I take a razor to the frizzy parts.

A sweater shaver should help. Wool-ease and some other yarns pill though so not much you do about it.
