What's with my yarn?

I’m really green to knitting, so if anyone can maybe help me understand what’s going on here it’d be great.

Because I’m so new to this i didn’t want to buy the most expensive yarn out there, but now when i’m casting on it seems to be unwinding on the needles, which is making things difficult to say the least. Am i doing something wrong?

Plz help me.

Sometimes that happens when you cast on. I find that letting go of the yarn will help it to wind itself back up a bit.

Once the cast-on is done, though, you shouldn’t run into that problem.
