Hi all, just had to share with all you “animal lovers” this one…Yesterday we were hit (BTW non stop since Monday)with MORE SNOW, Below zero temps/icy roads etc…Guess What, my younger cat (Lilly) decided to climb the Kitchen window after some birds (outside) therefore knocking down a hanging plant, which startled the other sleeping cat (BabyPhat) which sent BabyPhat leaping over my end table…missing my Wedding Pic, Venetian Glass Vase (with antique beaded flowers inside) and very old Teapot…but managed to scrap his belly across a wax melting pot, covering his entire furry belly with candle wax!!! My vet was gone for the day, had to go to the Emergency one, which didn’t open till 6:00… It was 5:10(Imagine what BabyPhat was doing till we wrestled him up and caged him)? Right… biting the wax off his tummy…Well, took us at least 25 min to get there, they (ER Vets) were running late (due to the weather)…well,1 trip to the ER $85.00. 1 cat belly shaved (and not burned),and making it “home” safely… priceless!!!..sshewww
What's the "worse" thing to happen in a blizzard?
Oh My Gosh!! Glad to hear BabyPhat is okay but I bet that would have made a interesting video!

I totally agree with this.
Kudos to you for taking her in to the vet during all that weather! Glad she was ok!
Thanks for all the “kudos” but I forgot to mention one other very important fact in this story…“I” forgot to be “thankful” that my husband is an experienced “CODE 2 DRIVER” in lousy weather…
Yikes! I’m glad she doesn’t have a burned tummy and your valuables are safe!
Sounds like you had quite the adventure.
POOR BABY PHAT!!
But you actually made out well, in my neck of the woods the emergency Vet charges $100 JUST TO come in and any visit or treatment else is extra.
Yea, the charge was just for the visit…he didn’t charge for any “treatment”!!!
