What's the difference

between a row and a round?

A row is knitted flat (back and forth across the needles), while a round is knitted in the round on circular needles.

That’s what I thought, but I’m seeing both in a lot of different patterns.

In circular knitting, they sometimes use the terms interchangeably. You just won’t ever have “rounds” when knitting flat.

Okay, I just didn’t want to take it like that, to find out later that it’s something totally different. Thanks!
