Yesterday my son told me he wanted a dark green 1898 hat, so today I made one for him. Here it is directly from the needles unwashed and unblocked. I did some small modifications like using double aran for the upper part to make it warmer.

Welcome. I’m a new knitter, too. That is a beautiful throw. Love the stitch. @salmonmac recommended a lifeline to me when I was knitting a very complex stitch to tink. OMG, Lifeline = Life Saver! Do it. You’ll be so happy. Another plus for me: it helps keep my rows even and straight. Happy kniiting.
