Whatcha' Knitting? February, 2026

Just off my needles, the back of my sweater. I have avoided cable flare at the top by binding off 2 sts at once right across the top. I like the stitch pattern and the measurements are as I expected so fingers crossed the rest of it comes together how I imagine. I’ve left my yarn attached just in case I need to tink the bind off and add more rows. We’ll see.

I’m just about to put a sleeve back on the needles and work the cap and saddle shoulder. Never done a saddle shoulder before so this will be maths plus guess work plus luck.

Can’t wait to see what it looks like in the end

Wow, I just saw your incy wincy cat! I don’t know how you can make something so small.

Just finished the front. It looks quite convincing at this point, i mean it looks like it could work! Of course it could be awful on. I’m enjoying a moment of achievement before I discover anything wrong.
Neck band will seam to saddle shoulders and across the back so I’ve left the yarn attached for small alterations on length.

Thank you! Still haven’t dared hold it up to me in case it’s the wrong size in every direction, ha ha!
Doing the second sleeve cap this week and will eventually baste (is that right i dont know, seaming but with embroidery thread i can pull out) and compare the fit of each sleeve and all the other aspects of measurement.
The half twisted stitch in the seven seas cable i really like, worked on a larger needle for softness and drape too so it feels, sooo squishy. It’s just every other aspect of the design that I’m not sure of.

I just finished these. I knit for charity and shawls and hats are for chemo patients.

Such a worthy project and beautiful gifts.

The hat and shawl look like cozy hugs for the patients. They will be so much appreciated!
