Whatcha' Knitting? August, 2022

I’m making a queen sized blanket for my niece. She loves red and black. I don’t like either color and it’s taking me forever.

Love this! Reminds me of ice cream for some reason. LOL Great details on the cuffs and hem!

I finally bound off the edging and the pattern called for Elizabeth Zimmerman’s Sewn Bind off. I watched a video on New Stitch a Day and it is an easy and quite beautiful bind off.

Finished. This one was started from the sleeve to sleeve

. Challenging pattern had a few mistakes but mastered it in the end.

You certainly did. It’s gorgeous!

That looks like a tricky pattern. You must be so pleased with it! Love those chunky cables.

My daughter gave me a Kaffe Fassett pattern book for my birthday. I foolishly decided to make myself something for a change.
It’s a nightmare. But I will do this

Yes …it’s a labour of love. And painfully slow.
And yes. Have thrown it across the room many times already.

Before starting the Kaffe Fassett project I did finish this last week for my granddaughter.

So far am managing 1 or 2 rows a day. And sooooo many ends to sew in.

Beautiful knitting

Your granddaughter’s sweater is very well done. It’ll be a joy to wear and she’ll get so many compliments on it.
Wow, a Kaffe Fassett coat! I’m in awe. Enjoy every minute of knitting it. And please, a photo or two or three.

I just finished knitting this shawl pattern, Anivia, on LoveCrafts. Although my stitch to row ratio was off, and subbing cotton in which has very little drape, this was super easy and fun to make so rather than a shawl it’ll be used for home deco! New lesson learnt from every new project and another pattern style to add to my repertoire!

Very nice. You might find it drapes much more after washing.

I have been knitting like a mad woman, and I must confess, I haven’t gotten very far on my wips, but I completed a few things I just started not too long ago. Here are my newest creations. My first ever baby sweater (quick oats by Taiga Hilliard), a ribbed hat, and a blanket that I am giving as a set.

You certainly have been busy and productive, and to such lovely effect. There will be one very fashionable baby in the complete outfit.

Here are some hanging towels and dishcloth I completed too (I just finished them last week for a person at church who got married during Covid- and I neglected to give a gift)
