I feel dense, but I only see the color and the gauge (from which I suppose I could figure out a yarn). What yarn would you use for these socks?
Also, isn’t it odd to make socks on size 4 and 6 needles?

I don’t see it either, but you should be able to use any yarn with the same gauge.
With those size needles I would think at least sport weight and maybe even worsted.
There is a link to the right for Knit One Crochet Too–maybe it’s that brand?
Those are pretty big needles for socks. I would probably use sport weight.
The most popular sock yarn these days seems to be fingering weight. But you can (at least theoretically) make socks at any gauge. Some will be thin and delicate; others will be great to wear with hiking boots. Use bulky yarn and you’ll Bigfoot socks to wear as house slippers.
