What to do with the last stitch in the bind off

I just finished my first ever project with the help of the video on binding off. The only thing I can’t figure out is what to do at the end of the bind off. My needle is holding the last stitch in place. How do I tie it off?

Cut your yarn to a length of about 7-8" and pull that piece thru the final loop. Weave the tail into your piece using a tapestry needle or crochet hook.

Thank you. I don’t have a tapestry or crochet needle but I guess I need one.

You don’t really. You could stick a needle tip through a stitch from the wrong side and catch the yarn with it and bring it through.

Depending on the yarn, a bent paper clips works in a pinch

A hairpin or bobby pin, anything small and pointy…
