What to do with loose ends?

Hi everyone

I am VERY new to knitting and new to this forum, posting from London UK. I have just made the baby shawl for my 9 month old daughter, what do I do with all the loose bits of wool? I have a book on knitting but there’s no mention and I’m sure it’s obvious but I don’t want to ruin it by doing the wrong thing.

Thank you for posting that link. I am printing the article out as I type this to you. I have to finish an multi-coloured afghan I knit months ago, but I have been avoided the task. This should help me to finish it some evening soon prior to Christmas Day! :happydance:
