What is "ypp"?

I’m trying to buy some undyed yarn and it says:
Superwash, 3-ply yarn blooms slightly into nice, round yarn. 1,900 ypp.
Sold in:
8oz skein
1 lb skein
1 lb - 1 lb 2 oz cone
1 lb 2oz - 1 lb 4 oz cone
1 lb 4oz - 1 lb 6 oz cone

So what is YPP??

yard per pound.

Found the following on this site:

Number of yards per pound. To figure this out measure the number of yards in a skein of yarn, then weigh it. If weighing in grams calculate the number of ypp like so: # of yards ÷ weight in grams x 454 (because there are 454 grams in a pound).

Gosh…it’s so obvious now that you said it :wall:

:teehee: thanks so much

you down with ypp? Yeah you know me!!!

:roflhard: :roflhard: ~catches breath~ OMG

~laughs again~ :roflhard:

:roflhard:  :roflhard:  :roflhard:

Which has more acronyms … the military or knitting?
