I am knitting a 4 ply cardigan for my daughter and have finally got to the sewing up part. The pattern asks me to ‘top-sew’ the shoulder seams together. Has anybody got any clues as to what this means?:??
I’m not sure  Is there a picture of the finished item? Unless it looks like the shoulder seam is supposed to be some kind of design feature I wouldn’t worry too much about it…just finish as usual (such as invisible horizontal seam)
Not familiar with the term but might it mean to seam from the ‘top/public’ side to ensure the seam is on the private side? For instance, when doing 3-ndl BO some get confused as to which sides to place tog and end up with the seam on the outside. (As in sewing, sometimes having to state ‘place right sides tog’ is necessary to construction and the proper result.)
Just a thought.
