Not sure about the strength of 3.2 Gauge vinyl. But we’re not using these bags to hold a dozen croquet balls!
I wouldn’t purchase a bag that is less than 3-4" in fatness.
So the sizes above that are bolded are the sizes that I’d buy.
I use the Ziploc Flexible Totes to store my outgrown kids’ clothes (I have boys 6 years apart so I save all my oldest’s clothes “just in case”) – it has mesh across the top and if that doesn’t bother you, I think it would hold a comforter easily:
XXL: 2.2 ft. long (26 in.) x 16 in. deep x. 12 in. high
I keep my yarn on shelves, with handmade cardboard dividers to give that “sorted yarn store shelf” look. Not very fancy, but I like the way it looks. I also have some in a dresser, and my least favorite yarn in boxes, in the basement. But my favorite storage is the odds and ends which I put in tall glass bowls (Christmas tree shops, $10 each), sorted by color. It looks really pretty on display, and makes it easy to find the color I need when I’m looking for a bit of color.
