What does wrong side mean in a pattern?

Here is the pattern for a baby blanket I am starting. What does wrong side mean
Cast on 98 sts.
Do not join.
Working back and forth across needle in rows,
proceed as follows:
Knit 7 rows (garter st), noting first row
is WS.

The wrong side is the back of the blanket. The right side is the front, the part that want to show if you spread it out for a picture. If you have a garment, the side that’s worn to the outside is the RS and the side next to you that doesn’t show is the WS.

Some patterns are pretty much reversible and the RS/WS designation doesn’t mean much. You might decide you like the WS better and then you can make it the RS.

JOMS, please edit your post to delete all but the first few lines of the pattern. Posting complete patterns may give us problems with copyrights.

Done. Sorry about that.
