This might sound silly but I found an ad on some yarn sale that described the yarn as unmercerized and I dont seem to know what it mean! :oops:
I tried dictionary.com but it didnt know either heehee :doh:

Here is the process of mercerizing. Unmercerized, is cotton that is not treated.
oooooh does that mean it would fee l rough? Like its not too soft on the skin?
I make night caps for cancer patients using blue sky alpacas organic cotton. It was sooooooo soft. My DH tried one on and put in a request. Then my DS started taking Daddy’s so I made him one. If my son can’t find his, he still takes his Daddy’s. My DH told me this winter I should make an extra. :teehee:
