What does the abbriviation "pm" mean?

I’m making the Soleil tank top from Knitty. In one of the rows right after the lace trim, it says to knit half the number of stitches in the round, “pm”, and knit to end.

What is the “pm”? I can’t find it in the knitty list of abbreviations.

I believe it is place marker… however, I have not done this pattern.

Yep, that’s the standard abbreviation for place marker.
