pattern is daniella shawl by nancy rieck. row 7 says sk2. does that mean skip 2? up above in rows 1,3,5 was skp. I finally figured that to be slip 1 stitch, knit next stitch, pass slipped stitch over knit stitch. I’m relatively new to knitting. there is no nomenclature. thank you!
We’re always especially happy to have a new knitter.
Maybe this scarf??
Sk2 might be sk2p, a double decrease. Slip one, knit 2 together, pass slipped stitch over. See if that makes sense with the stitch count and the next row.
i have no idea what it means. that’s why I posted the website I got the pattern from in an attempt for someone to let me know.
Can you look at stitch counts across the row and see if they change between the current row and the next row?
Asking the designer is a good idea, of course. Can you give us a link to the website, please?
Most patterns have an explanation of stitches which is super helpful. Does this one not have one?
