I’ve been trying to knit the wire-haired fox terrier from the amazing ‘Best in Show’ book and have run up against numerous problems as I’m a knitting newb (shouldn’t have just jumped straight in I guess!).
My current problem is that I’m being told to ‘pult’ and, despite extensive googling, I can’t find a real explanation anywhere for this term. The wording reads:
Row 8: K6cn, 3cr, 3cn, pult (pick up loop below next st on left needle by inserting tip of right needle from back through loop - this stops a hole forming when turning work - then turn, leaving rem 3 sts on left needle unworked)
The problem is that I have no idea how to approach this… does it mean that I actually end up with 4 loops, not 3st, on the left needle, or am I just really overcomplicating things? This instruction appears in almost all subsequent rows so will make a huge difference if i get it wrong now!
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
Plus, as I’m vegan and don’t use animal-derived yarn… if anyone has found a great online synthetic/bamboo/hemp yarn outlet online or otherwise I’d appreciate the heads up. I’m in Canada…
