I have a set of circular bamboo needles. have worked them like regular needles - but do understand can use them to “knit in the round.” how is this done!! I am stumped!
There’s a very nice video if you look at the tabs at the top of this page: Free Videos, Advanced Techs, Small diameter circular knitting. Using dpns is very useful and fun once you get started. And if your bamboo needles are just 2 bamboo needles connected by a cable, the video on the same page for large diameter circular knitting may help.
Knitting in the round means you are knitting a tube with the stitches connected. This creates a seamless object.
There are various methods depending on what you’re making and the length of your circulars. How long are yours? (measured needle tip to needle tip)
Here’s some basic instruction.

You can also use circular needles to knit flat items with a large number of sts like blankets and cardigan sweaters with no seams. You just use them like straight needles and turn at the end of the row. The cords hold many more sts than straights and it’s easier on your wrists and hands as you don’t have to balance the knitting on them.
