Could someone give me a list of the abbreviations useed here? The only one I know is ISO - in search of. Thanx.

[B]D(followed by another capitol letter) commonly refers to a relation, such as one’s “Dear Son.” So:[/B]
DB – Dear brother/boss/other relation whose significance starts with 'B’
DBF – Dear boyfriend
DD --Dear daughter
DDIL – Dear daughter-in-law
DGD – Dear granddaughter
DGS – Dear grandson
DH – Dear husband
DS – Dear son
DSE – Dear spousal equivalent
DSO – Dear significant other
DW – Dear wife
[I]*D might also refer to another D word, depending on the mood of the poster…Darling, Darned, etc.[/I]

FO – Finished object (*related to UFO, Unfinished Object)
FROG – Frog is used quite often when an item is ripped out. Comes from “rip it, rip it” sounding like ribbit. [SIZE=2]Incidently, I made our frogging emoticon, using the knitter emoticon as a base. I’m very proud of it. [/SIZE]

I saw a post where someone said the object was a HO not a FO, what is a HO ?
I’ve been knitting for quite awhile and never heard of HO in relation to finished objects. However, I have heard of “yarn HO”, :roflhard:
Jan, in my question I stated that the person said it’s a HO “not” a FO and I figured they meant half object because it was one sock in picture they were referring to. Do you think they meant half object?
Well, that makes sense, but I’ve never heard it. Most people would just say UFO even referring to socks I think. :shrug:
