Our air conditioning works so well that I FREEZE in the summer when I’m inside. :roflhard: So I still knit my usual items even during the summer. But when I sit outside on my deck I bring a book or magazine to read…no knitting outside in the warmth. :happydance:
Last summer for about two weeks it was between 115 and 119. This summer looks to be hot too, since it was 88 the other day. I ususally knit dishcloths, light scarves (for Christmas presents), practice stitches etc.
I too have my AC cranked, but even at 75 it’s still HOT in the house as the AC is always on trying to compensate for the heat.
I tried to knit a blanket last year, wearing house shorts (aka WAY to short for outside) and I about died. Yup it’s small light things and practicing techniques for me.
I am planning to knit a lacy camisole and a dress this summer, but other than that, I don’t know what I’m going to be knitting! Maybe I’ll knit a few pairs of short socks too.
