What can i knit

ok after saying the other day i cant afford to buy any new yarn my dad came home with 400g of dk soft yellow thats georgous.
he knows i’ve had a lot on my mind the past week and knew better than flowers etc to chear me up so yarn it was (i know i have the best dad :yay: ).

i want to knit something for me (ds has sooo much i’ve knitted its a waste to do any more now).

trouble is i have no clues what i can do myself. its def a summery colour, any ideas anyone

You need an adopted sister! And I know the perfect gal for the job! How about a simple cardigan?

lol, my dad is great. i looked longingly at the yarn section and walked past. i got handede it in the car. i’m sooo over the moon about it. i have ten tons of cardigans. this is the trouble i have knitted soo much for ds and me that i’m kinda at a loss what to knit next. i’ve made about 6/7 blankets and have no more space to store any more i havent got the dpns to do socks and cant buy them right now so totally stuck. dp is to big (hes 6ft 2 so 400g wouldnt hardly touch him hehe(and i think dad would be annoyed at me not using the yarn on me).

thanks for the idea though, all else fails i will look at a cardigan. i do love them

How many yards and what is the weight of the yarn? Figuring anything about by grams is extremely hard.

it dosent say it in yards (and im terrible at working stuff out) its 520 metres in each skein and i have 2 of them. the weight is dk i think, it dosent actually say.

i’ve nearly finshed the jumper i’m working on so want my next one sitting waiting for me yey. i feel like such a kid hehe

I would go to Ravelry and see if the yarn is listed there and look and see what others have made with that yarn. It may give you some ideas.

It’s a little over 1100 yards. It’s probably not enough to make a whole sweater, but you could make a simple vest or tank top probably. Depends on the size you need and yarn weight.

Ravelry is a good idea if you are on their. If not tell me the what kind of yarn it is (name and brand), and gauge if you have it and I can check to see what has been made with it.
