Thank you.

Hi there! I’ve been doing a lot of online surfing trying to translate some instructions in a Rico Baby pattern that I just cannot understand. The pattern # is 1037 and I’m trying to figure out how and when to do the increases on the sleeves. I figured out the first six rows and now I’m stumped. The instructions printed are as follows:
"Keeping patt correct as now set, inc 1 st at each end of 5th[3rd:next:next:next] and 0[0:2:1:1] foll 4th rows, then on 0[3:3:5:7] foll 6th rows, then on 1[0:0:0:0] foll 8th row taking inc sts into patt. 36[42:46:50:56]
Work 7 rows ending after 2nd [10th:4th:12th:12th] patt row and with a ws row.
I understand that I need to select the fourth out of five options for the size I selected, so the only thing I feel sure about is that I need to increat 1 stitch at each end of the next row. After that, I’m lost…

Welcome to the forum!

Very cute hoodie.
For the 4th size, call the next row, row 1. Increase at each end of rows 1 and 5, then rows 11,17,23,29 and 35.
When there is a 0 (or - or x) for your size, skip over that direction and move on to the next.

Bless you! I’d already done the back and I thought I was so efficient to be knitting both sleeves at once and all of a sudden I was at a complete standstill! So, many many thanks!

Such a great idea to knit the sleeves at the same time. Glad you’re back on track.

Welcome to KH!
Wonderful to have an enthusiastic and experienced knitter like you join us. Thank you for finding us.

Hi there everyone, I’ve just joined but have had many sneaky peeks for knitting assistance for the last few years. I started knitting during Covid and of course needed some guidance. Knittinghelp has provided so much help by either answering questions or providing links.
Thankyou everyone, this is a wonderful site and I’m very glad to be on board.
Now, if I could just stop knitting my hair!
Love you all
Sarah

Love the video OJJ, very funny :hugs:

That animation is great. I like the tilt and pull back of the knitting which I know I do myself when I ought to be freeing up more yarn but find myself moving towards the balls instead. Great observation.
Thanks for sharing!

New to the site. Just started up knitting again and wanted to join the group. Looking to knit for my soon to be second grandchild
