W&T...what is it?

I’ve just casted on for this chemo cap and I’m stumped at row 2.

Don’t understand exactly what I’m supposed to “wrap” here:
P2, K2 (8 times), P2, W&T (Wrap, slip the wrapped stitch, and Turn:

I knit continental, btw…this looks like it might be written for an english knitter, but I don’t know!

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

You’re doing short row shaping. When it says wrap and turn, you slip the next stitch, bring the yarn over the needle, put the stitch back on the left needle. Then you turn the work around and start knitting back the way you came.

Actually, these are the directions in your pattern in bold:

After working the last P st, move the yarn between the needles to the back of the work; slip the next st on the left needle to the right needle; move the yarn between the needles to the front of the work; slip the wrapped stitch back to the left needle; turn)

I knew you would answer, Ingrid! I’m calling up the pope to nominate you for sainthood… St. Ingrid, the patron saint of KNITTING!

 Can’t believe I completely disregarded the bold instructions. :wall: doh…going to try it right now!

THANKS INGRID!!!

(Don’t bother with the Pope–I’m not Catholic!)

Me neither! But you’re still MY St. Ingrid!

:roflhard: That’s a first!

I’ve got about 94 skeins of yarn to proove it!

St. Ingrid, I have tried your instructions and guess what?? You were right again! Thanks! Going good so far!
