Vogue Knitting vs. The Knitter's Bible
I have the knitter bible but not vouge…
And I really like the bible…
It’s my goal, to get every knitting “technique” book before I die… 
So I’ll probably get this one too 
I have and like the knitters bible, but I looked at the Vogue in B&N and it looks great. I think Ingrid has it, so maybe she’ll weigh in. I thought I’d like to have the vogue…looks a little slicker, but I’m not sure it has anything different from KB in it. Plus I got my KB from half.com for cheap…last time I looked for Vogue on there it was still pretty $$$
I have both. I love both of them! Being a newbie knitter, I often find myself with both of them open when I’m trying to figure something out.
I have ‘The Knitter’s Bible’ and love it, and just yesterday got the Vogue book from the library. It looks fantastic as well, and a LOT more complete than the KB. I think both are good. The Knitter’s Bible is good for a concise collection of the basics, a really nice stitch dictionary with all kinds of stitches and some really nice, original patterns. I’d say that the Vogue one has all of that PLUS so much more. Maybe not as straight forward as a reference book but awesome nevertheless. It has a GREAT stitch library too, much more complete than the KB.
I have the Vogue variety. I really like it. They also have a smaller version that is spiral bound that I’ve got to keep in my bag so I can look things up while I’m out and about if need be.

love it. I’ve seen Vogue in the library, and it looks great too. You may want to consider this…

You enabler, you. I did just order the Vogue Knitting (used), Decorative Stitches (used for 4.99), and one the Ann Budd books (again used). I’ll have to add this one!
I also thought about getting the Encyclopedia of Knitting since I have 2 JoAnn’s coupons for 50% off for this weekend!
I suppose knitting books are a lot like yarn, you just can’t have too many. :roflhard:
