Viveka sweater yarn question

I reallllly want to knit Viveka from Fall '06 Knitty. However, I was thinking about doing it in a cheaper yarn - possibly Caron Simply Soft. Do you think that would work? I just want to make sure the finished product is machine washable. The recomended yarn is dry clean only. Thanks for your help! :cheering:

I think that would make a pretty Viveka.

I love Caron Simply Soft. I’m making Green Gables out the watermelon coloured Simply Soft. Lovely!
