Vintage shawl patter

Hello,

I have tried this patter but it does not look like the same patter when I knitted.

What stitch do I need to correct to make the shawl look like in the picture?

So what does your shawl look like?

It looks like just a drop stitch pattern - K1 yo twice 3 times, then the next row drop the extra loop.

The problem is when you make the frist 5 rows, I just do not knwo how to explain but the vertical column between the 4k and 4p loks like a chain when you folow the instructions but it does not look like the picture.

I hope this makes it clear.
