Vintage pattern abbreviation wl.frt help!

Hi,
I am knitting a vintage 1940s Easter cap and the instructions now say to: wl.frt. I have looked all over the internet and can’t work out what this means unless it’s wool forward right twist? If so I can’t work out how to do a right twist with the wool forwards! They also want me to wl.bk - is this wool back?
The row before has increases - k1 winding will round twice.

From the image below its the 1st row and 2nd row I’m having trouble with.

Welcome to KH. I think it move wool front, move the yarn to the front of the work then slip the next stitch. Nice pattern!

Thank you! Yes that would make sense. I’ve done 1.5 rows of this pattern and then undone it. I’ll try it again the way you have suggested

I hope I got it right so your knitting goes smoothly now. I hope you’ll share a photo.

I’ll post a photo when it’s finished- if I ever get there! Thanks again for your help and kindness

I also think it only means wool in front.
Hope we get to see a photo of your project when you’re finished.
