Hi, I’m a beginner at knitting and I want to knit a hat that looks like the helmet for the Minnesota vikings, but I have no idea where to start and how to do it. I have the knit and the purl stitch down, and I can do some ribbing too, but that’s about it. Please help a new knitter!
I’m not sure what the Minnesota Vikings team helmet looks like, but here are a few patterns for viking inspired hats … perhaps you can make one of them work with a few modifications:
Do you mean a hat that looks like a football helmet and have the MN viking logo on the sides? I found this pattern for the helmet:
I couldn’t find a chart of the viking logo, but maybe you could draw/trace it onto graph paper.
Oops! I must have misunderstood … I thought you were looking to make a viking hat so that you’d look like the team mascot! 
The helmet pattern posted above could work for you, although I doubt you’ll find an already made chart for the team logo … you’d have to sketch it out yourself on knitting graph paper. It’s definitely do-able though.
