Hi, I’m making a vest, and the patterns instructions say to rep. last 2 rows of (k2,P2) ribbing until work from beg measures 2.5 inches, ending with 2nd row and dec 2 sts evelnly across. 104 sts. My question in where should I do the decreases on that row. My cast on is 106. Thanks
You just need for them to be worked ‘evenly’…as stated…so approx 1/3 of the way or about 30-31 sts. You probably want to work them over P2 (p2tog) or K2 (k2tog) vs working the dec over a K and P.

If you’re switching to stockinette after the ribbing, you can also do the decs on the first row of that k2tog or p2tog about 1/3 and 2/3 along the row.
