Urgent help please

I have this Picot stitch: Knit 1, slip it back to the left-hand needle, lift next 8 sts on left needle over this stitch. Make a yarn over, and knit the stitch again. This results in a yarn over and a normal stitch. 7 sts decreased.
On my first round and don’t know how to do it

Welcome to KH!

Maybe try this out on a small swatch to see how it goes. It may be easier to try with stitches on the needles.
Knit one stitch. (call it stitch one)
Pass it back to the left needle.
Slip the next 8sts on the left needle over and off this stitch. So if the knit stitch is stitch 1, then these 8sts are numbered 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9. Lift them one at a time over the stitch at the needle tip and off the needle. It’s similar to a bind off except that you’ll repeat the pass slip stitch over 8 times.
Once you do that, bring the yarn to the front between the needle tips then over the right needle to the back and knit stitch one again.
