If you read my post before, My mother told me she would buy me the Option set for me.:woot: When I saw her again, she handed me 300.00.:woohoo::yay::woot: I told her she only needed to give me 65.00… She did not care. So I took it.:happydance::happydance::happydance:
NOW I want to order more. But not sure what.
:??1.Should I get another set of of Option,That way I have 2 of each.
:think:2.OR–Should I get Hermony set.
PLUS should I order the size that don’t come in the sets.
I don’t use the DPN that much… But, I might someday. So should I get those also.??
I wouldn’t get two sets, but you could order some more extras. The set comes with 24 and 32 in cables and 9 needle tips. If you think you might want cables in different sizes or some classic circs in the 16 in size (hats and sleeves) you could order them. KP also has books!
What a sweet mama! MMMMM :?? I guess I would get about twenty hanks of Malabrigo, unwind it all in my living room and dance around naked in it.
 :ick:
:teehee:
No, seriously I’m not sure what I’d get–Options are a good option (geez, aren’t I witty today:teehee:) . I probably buy a REALLY expensive hank of yarn I’m hankering for () and knit something to give to Mom. Let us know what you end up with–and I promise, NO MORE PUNS!
I would buy the starter set, a bunch of cables in various sizes, bags to put them all in, and another set each of your favorite sizes. Maybe get those in the wooden ones just for those times you want to knit with wood instead of metal. I’d buy the needle size id tags, the view sizer, and cable needles. OK, for fun, I put together an order featuring:
Options Nickel set
Options Wood needle tip sets in size 8 and 9
Needle size ID tags
Viewer sizer
5 sets of each of the three bags
Cables in sizes 24" (3), 32" (3), and one each of 40", 47", 60"
One set of size 15 and 13 in nickel
That comes to a grand total of $160.17 (no shipping since you are over $45 LOL!) That leaves you roughly $140 for yarn. I mean you will need something to knit now that you have all these pretty needles!
I would definitely get the DPN set. You just never know when you might need them. Personally I would go to The Loopy Ewe or maybe WoolGirl and spend the rest.
Well, I ended up with $50 from Mom and I stocked up on sock yarn for the next decade. They’ve (mom and sister) agreed it will keep me off the streets for awhile.
I would get a full set of both the Options and the Harmony along with the three tips that are not incouded in the set. I would also get extra cables in both the 24" and 32" size as well as the cable sizes not included in the sets. I would also get the Harmony sock set ans well as size 4-8 ib the Harmony DPN’s. Then I would get get the size 0-3 fixed circulars in the Harmony size 24 and 32. I would get the 16" in every size also.
Thank you for all of your help. I finally spend some of it yesterday at Knitpicks, Patternworks, and I bought my first pattern at stitchdiva.com.

:woot:Great choices! I envy you. Hey, I’m in Tennessee so I’m closer–let me know when the packages arrive. I can be there with cake in about 4 hours!:flirt:
I’d probably get the Options and the Harmony needles with extras that don’t come in the set. Also, some extra cables would come in handy, and a view sizer. And I’d probably spend the extra on some yarn that you might have your eye on but is expensive.
I looooooove that sweater pattern to pieces, I hope you enjoy making it and let us know how it turns out. I really really wanna make it someday even though I’m pretty sure it won’t look good on me. It’s just so beautiful knit up in Tilli Thomas on a teensy-weensy model :teehee:
Did you get the Tilli Thomas too??? Or are you going to knit it something else?
