I would like to make a baby hat for a friend of mine who just had a baby girl. I did a google search for baby hats and after looking at numerous hats, I think that the umbilical cord hat would be perfect. I set out to try and purchase the pattern but I can’t seem to find it anywhere. If anyone has a copy they could send me, I would be happy to reimburse. I have my yarn and am so excited to start knitting. Thanks very much!
Since the pattern is in a book, it would be against copyright laws for someone to send you the pattern. It’s a very easy pattern… hopefully your LYS or library has the book so you can take a peek inside, or, failing that, scope out a copy at a bookstore.
Basically, you’re casting on for a rolled brim baby hat, doing generic/universal decreases and then making an icord on the top, which you tie in a knot after binding off.
