These are awesome. I looked at the pattern, and I’d have to buy needles and some fingering weight yarn, but I’d like to give them a try. I should be able to get the stuff by next Wednesday (gotta wait for payday lol).

#3

Yay!!! I just started them. They’re pretty simple, so far.

#4

Those are so pretty. What yarn are you using? What color?
I’m waiting to d/l the pattern. My computer is balky and I think I need to reboot it. I might have some yarn for them but can’t start right away. I do want to make them.

#5

I’m using Patons Kroy Socks’ Winter Eclipse.

I got a little confused about how to do the thumb on this one, so I looked up other recommended thumb gussets. I’m using the one listed: HERE

#6

I got a free ebook d/l from Interweave Press, Beyond the Basics Thumb Gussets that I find handy. I can’t find it now or I’d give you the link.

#7

It’s all good. I normally don’t have problems knitting the thumb on gloves. It’s just the way this one was written. I didn’t like how it was looking & instead of wasting time trying to figure it out, I chose a different version. Lol.

I found that by using a different thumb gusset that works for me I didn’t have much problem with holes. Now if I can just remember which one it was or where I wrote it down.

#9

If you find that link I’d love to have it GG.

If anyone else is knitting this, post pictures!

Pretty!

#14

I expected them to take longer to knit, but they took me about a day.

#15

Your thumb gusset worked beautifully. Very pretty.

#16

Thanks!! Has anyone else gotten a chance to start knitting them yet?

#17

No updates? Lol.

There was another question about these. You might know about it since you already did them. http://www.knittinghelp.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116937

Nice! I didn’t see that post. I left some advice there for them.

I cast on for mine tonight. I’m using size 4 DPN’s. Wish me luck, thus is my first project on DPN’s.
