So I am heading into the rib for ankle sock then onto the picot edge bindoff. I had made a previous note that I used garn studio picot edge. When I found the video ( it had no sound, which I didn’t remember) and it was done after a twisted k/purl rib. I don’t think I did this correctly on my practice sock. I think I did a regular k1p1 rib. Probably at the time I did the practice sock I was clueless ( this was 3 yrs ago). So is the point of twisted knit/ purl for visual. So the difference is the knit is done through the back loop?
Twisted rib is very pretty an would look very nice on the socks with a picot edge. It’s a bit less elastic (still goes out to the same width but doesn’t pull in as much as regular rib). It makes the knit column pop, tighter and neater compared to some regular ribs which can be a bit sloppy or baggy in the knit columns.
It’s worth a swatch

The garn studio videos don’t have sound so they can be used internationally. There is a text description and written pattern instructions below the video.
Here is one for working flat in case you like to do a quick sample flat with scrap yarn.

You are always so helpful. It’s much appreciated. And that makes sense about why the Garn studio videos don’t have audio. I’ve watched it many times & I feel pretty comfortable. But it helped to be able to read the description of the video. It took me a minute but I was finally able to sync the 2 mediums together so it made sense in my brain.
