Hi, I’m attempting to knit my very first sweater. The Turtle Dove sweater from Espace Tricot. And I’m already confused. I’ve finished the section titled Neck Ribbing and Yoke ( i think). Next part says Marker Setup Row, did that. Skipped the short-row shaping, (which was optional). Now Begin raglan increases. Here’s where they lost me. I think. [KFB, knit to 2 sts before raglan marker, kfb, k1] 4 times. I’m assuming they mean the markers I’d placed earlier. Now should I make those marker different colors so I know which is front and back? And am I correct in assuming they mean the markers i’d already placed?
Now it says Knit with no increases. (done) Now again confusing part - knit across sleeve stitches, (?)

Yes, use the markers that have already been set up. You can make those markers different colors or put a marker somewhere on the front but it won’t really matter. Front and back are the same if you haven’t done the short rows.

I’m sorry trying so hard to learn and make my first sweater. I should have picked sweater for the clueless pattern. Lol
But What does the above part mean??
Early on in the pattern you placed a beginning of round marker (BOR) and 3 other markers. They set up the front, sleeves and back placement. For the smallest size it’s 7sts for each sleeve and 21sts each for front and back.
You’ve worked the increases at each marker in round 1 (8sts increased). Is that right?
On round 3 you’re going to make some increases only at the front and back, not on the sleeves. Start at the BOR, knit across the sleeve sts, slip marker, kfb and knit to 2sts before the next marker, kfb, k1, slip the marker. You’re at the second sleeve. Repeat the above instructions which will bring you back to the BOR. (4sts increased)
Ok so. I only do the increase on two of the stitch markers? I think I did it wrong. I increased on all four. Jeezz . Let me see if I got it.
From where my BOR is I knit across to the first marker. I do the increase. I keep going around and slip the next marker with no increase. Keep going to next marker and increase. Slip next marker no increase??? Yes??? Am I making this harder then it needs to be. I’m a visual learner. show me it laid out and I got it. But leave out words and instructions. I don’t got it… I’m sorry thank your for helping me. I really, really appreciate it. I going along so good until I read this. LOL Well at lease I thought it was good. LOL
