Tuck-me-in-afghan

Did I put this in another wrong forum?
Anywhoo-
This is a large (circular) needle afghan.
With a ribbed border, and Drop Stitch Pattern.
(multiple of 3 sts. +2 sts. +4 selvage sts.
I’m lost here.

When a pattern gives you a multiple for the pattern stitch, it’s telling you how many stitches you need to cast on to come out even.

So a multiple of 3 + 2 would be any multiple of 3 plus 2 more. So, for example, 3 X 20 + 2 would give you 62 stitches. On top of that, you add stitches on the edge (selvege) of 2 on each edge in this case.

HMMMM-
For this afghan using a circular needle, you cast
on 222 st. Work Pat A (ribbing) for 2 inches, ending
with a RS row.
Work Pat B for approx. 58 inches, ending with row 6.
then work Pat A for 2 inches. then bind off all sts in pat.
It is row 6 that is something I have not heard of.
K2, p2, *drop next st and unravel it down 4 rows,
insert tip of rh needle knitwise into 5th st down & also
under 4 loose strands & behind it, p2, rep from *, end k2.
I think I will try to practice this with small amount of yarn,
before I buy 20 skeins.
