Tshirt or sweater for men

Hi!!! I can’t seem to find a tshirt or a nice sweater to make for my boyfriend… I’m looking for something simple because he is HUGE!

He has been complaining that I have never knitted anything for him and even said he would pay me 2 or 3 times my material fee LOL!

Looking for something that looks more like an everyday wear… hmm…

It’s a complement that he wants one of your hand knits isn’t it. He must admire the projects you make.

When you say “huge” do you have a chest and neck size which may help in offering suggestions for patterns?

He usually wear size L or XL, he is fit, tall and have broad shoulders. He has muscular boobs… model figure!

I’m very sure he wont wear it… but I think it’s cute that he wants to support my hobby. He helps me with choosing patterns and colors😂 absolutely love him

Sounds great to have help choosing yarns and patterns!

Do you have a preference for yarn weight? Bottom up or top down? What sort of sleeves do you prefer to make?

What about something like this? It’s quite plain but I like the detail added by the saddle shoulder stitch pattern.

Or maybe you’d like a cable or 3 to break up the monotony of a large section of stockinette?

You are so lucky to have a boyfriend who requests a sweater or T.
What about a subtle cable? V-necks are again the current style.

Here’s a plain one that comes is larger sizes.

And here’s one in even larger sizes.

And one with a pattern.

Here’s a T-shirt but I’m not sure how many men would really like the warmth of a knit T.

The Weststrand sisters have some great patterns for men which are large and’fit’!! I’ve made a couple and they look good too!
Moreover, the pattern book I bought now appears to be free ! So, result all round

I livein the US souther state of North Carolina and a knit T would be about the same as a polo style. Some polos are lace weight while others are more a dk weight. I wear them daily in the summer working at a home improvement store.

I would recommended Cotton blends or polyester (acrylic) for a knit T or sweater unless you are in a cold region.

V neck, henly, or mandarin collar.

Its better to take a Tshirt so that he can look better in Tshirt rather than sweater

I found these just this morning:
I only took a quick look though.

Not sure if I’m doing this properly, but the pattern was a Rowan pattern and the name of the jumper is ‘Holland’. You can just search for it on their site. It was lovely to knit.

Maybe this one:

We can’t share actual pattern instructions here due to designer copyright but links to pattern sites are just fine.
