I might have already posted this so apologies if I have but not sure.
How do I:
CAST ON 1, CAST OFF 2, REPEAT TO END

Maybe this one?

No problem with posting again.
This may be for the frill on the yellow part of the daffodil. You already have sts on the needle. Switch the needles in your hands and knit cast on one stitch. Now switch the needles back to the original postion. The newly cast on stitch will be on the right hand needle. Knit the next stitch, lift the first over the second and off the right needle. Knit another stitch and lift the first over the second and off the right hand needle. This specific pattern has you then transfer the stitch leftover from the cast off back to the left hand needle. Then repeat from the cast on of one stitch. I’m not sure that this is the same pattern you’re working.
That’s at least one way to work it. Is this the final cast off of all sts?
It sounds like a picot edging, also known as a picot bind off.
This technique can be done with various numbers to create more or less of an effect as you cast off.
Have a look at tutorials for picot edging and see how you go. You may not find one with the same stitch numbers as your apttern, but watching will still give you a general idea.
Hi, Thank you that worked but now I don’t know what to do with remaining sts.
The last row reads:
R15: CAST ON 1, CAST OFF 2, REPEAT TO END
But then what, there is no more rows listed? Is it me being really thick?! So I guess just cast off the remaining sts?!
You should have cast off all but one stitch by the end of this row or round.
When you cast on one stitch and return the needles to the original postion, then cast off 2sts (including the newly cast on stitch), you have one stitch remaining on the right needle. That stitch is passed to the left needle, a new stitch is cast on and then 2sts cast off (including the newly cast on stitch). As kushami posted this is a picot cast off.
The number of sts are different but the idea is the same as this video. When you finish there’ll be one stitch left and you can cut the yarn pulling the end of yarn through.
You keep repeating cast on 1, cast off 2 until you get to the end of the row (if knitting a flat piece) or the end of the round (if knitting in the round).
So:
Cast on 1, cast off 2
Cast on 1, cast off 2
Cast on 1, cast off 2
Etc. etc. until all stitches are used up.
This is the end of the section you are working on. I presume it is the top edge of the trumpet of the daffodil, if that’s the right word.
Above is the help I needed on doing a picot edging, it’s OK but I’m a bit disappointed with it but thought you ladies that have been helping would like to see my effort!

Ooh this looks lovely. What is it that is disappointing about it?
Don’t you just seam it up now and then make petals?
I love it, great colour too, I love the different colours of spring daffs.
It looks perfect! I think that when you fold it into a trumpet it will make a wonderful center for the daffodil. Well done!
Continuing the discussion from Trumpet DaffodilcPattern:
Hi Ladies, Here is the finished daffodil, although I unknotted the other one and this the new one to go on top of the petals!
Ah, spring is here at last. That looks fantastic.
Ooh, I like it!
It is great, i love it
