Trouble following pattern instructions

Hello,

I’m a newbie attempting to follow a pattern for slippers, but am having some trouble at the very start!

I’m too new to post a link, but if you google “fiknits rosies-slippers-pattern” you should be able to find the pattern I’m using, making the large size.

Here’s how I’m reading that the pattern starts:
Cast on 23sts
Increase for heel: k1tbl, k10, k1, yo, p1, k1, yo, k1 into next stitch, k10, yfwd, s1 - 28sts

I’ve gotten to the k1 into next stitch, which I’ve assumed is the same as kfb, but now I’m supposed to k10, and I don’t have that many stitches left! Is the pattern wrong, or have I been reading something incorrectly?

Slipper
Using one strand of each yarn and 8mm needles cast on 15[19, 21, 23]sts
Increase for heel: k1tbl, k6[8, 9, 10], -
Child & Small k1, p1, k1, p1 into next stitch
Medium k1, p1, k1, p1, k1 into next stitch
Large k1, yo, p1, k1,yo, k1 into next stitch

  • K6[8, 9, 10], yfwd, s1 - 18[22, 25, 28]sts.

It looks like you k1, yo, p1, k1,yo, k1 all in one stitch.

How To K1,P1,K1,P1,K1 Into The Same Stitch This is similar to what you’re doing but it doesn’t have the yo’s.

Thank you so much! I was scratching my head a bit on that one, so I appreciate the quick reply. It worked, I now have 28 stitches! It was a bit tight to get all of those stitches on but I think I’m on the right track.
