I am trying to learn new stitches and I thought I’d try something with the trinity stitch pattern. When it says (K1, p1, k1) all in same stitch how do you do it? Do you knit the stitch, slip back onto left needle, purl it, slip back onto left needle and then knit it again!!!
Trinity Stitch help
You knit it, leave it on left needle, twist right needle to knit into back of the stitch, leave it on left needle and bring right needle back to the front of the stitch and knit into it again and then slide off left needle. You should have 3 loops or stitches on right needle from this one stitch.
Thanks Plantgoddess! Boy was that confusing at first, but it all makes sense now
Glad I could help. I have had many of those Huh? moments myself.
Try this go to DIY…Knitty Gritty…put in “trinity stitch”, I think they have a video on this one…sorry couldn’t copy and paste for you…Cheley
It’s also called bramble stitch, so you could try searching that.
But once you get the hang of it, it’s so cool.
Thanks! I picked out my yarn and now I can’t wait to start on my Trinity a.k.a. Bramble scarf :^)
