Happy Easter, Everyone! Well, I finished my top down Knee socks the other day and started the above. I learned the Turkish Cast-on, THANKS TO YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP!
This pattern is in the book called “The Joy of Sox”
Here goes: I had the 10 sts. on each of the tips of my needle = 20 sts.
The pattern reads -
Round 1: knit
Then it goes to Toe Increases - Round 1 (Increase):: *K1, LR, K8, LL, K1; repeat from * once more - 22 sts. I count 24 sts here
Next, the pattern reads: Round 2: Knit
Then, repeat last 2 rounds, working 2 additional stitches between increases on every round 2 until a total of 60 sts.
Maybe, since I am new to toe-up, I am looking at this incorrectly, but I have tried and tried to figure it out.
I did the Turkish Cast-on, then knitted one complete round on the tips of the needles and then started the increasing, but after the first row, I had 12 on the one tip and 12 on the bottom, but I didn’t know how to go from there, because it says only do the extra increases on the 2 round. It doesn’t mention Round 1 and how to do it.
Please help.
