To fringe or not to fringe

just finished a scarf today but I am unsure wether to add a fringe or not, there is a picture of it on my new knitting blog - http://witchlearnstostitch.blogspot.com/ - I havn’t bothered sewing in the ends yet as I figured I would just leave them if I decided to fringe lol.

What would you do???

I posted you a comment on your blog.

I’m not a big fan of fringe, either, and I think with that yarn it would look kind of funky–messy.

see thats what I was thinking but Garry is saying fringe it :roflhard: I’m starting to think that rather then asking him what I should do I should just do what I think hehehe :teehee:

I am a big fan of fringe, but in this case I think it’s better without.

Well I dont know :??

errrrrr…

after careful consideration I think NOT because it looks beautiful now :cheering:

 Sharon

I vote to leave out the fringe. I think the scarf is pretty just the way it is. Fringe might be too much.

thanks for that ladies, will have to attempt attacking it with the tapestry needle tonght (which is rather hard lol, it took me 10 minutes to thread it when I was sewing in some ends when I had to change balls, the yarn is so freaking thick lol)

i agree…when you wash them …they get all tangled up and it is fustrating to straighten them up…it looked good to me without the fringe

I love fringe, but that scarf is just sooo pretty… I think fringe would take away from the details in the yarn. Excellent job!

If you ask me, and you did, I say leave the fringe for another project. That scarf with that yarn looks fabulous the way it is!

P. S. I am a BIG fan of LONG fringe used at the right time.

LMAO I just realised that I solved the problem, I went back to K-mart today to return the balls (I got 10 for the shawl but only needed 3 for the scarf) and didn’t even think that if I was going to do a fringe I would need a 4th ball lol, so I have no more of that yarn so can not do a fringe even if I wanted to LMAO
