Thick Alpaca Yarn?

Looking to make some hats out of 100% Alpaca, i would like to find some thick yarn . the stuff i have found is thin an would take 2 o3 together to make the size that i would like to work with. if any one know where i can get something like this just let me know. I’m also looking to find some good Bamboo needles, what are some good types an where can i get them?

Thanks for yall’s time:guyknitting:

I made a purse out some fairly thick alpaca. I used size 10.5 needles. The yarn was Dancing Fibers Serendipity.

I’ve used Baby Alpaca Grande to make scarves before. It’s very soft.

This is wonderful stuff. I  it - or fondling it anyway. It’s crazy soft. Haven’t knit with it, but have seen it knit, and it is lovely.

Happy hunting!

I don’t know what Threesmom linked there because my office blocks that site, so I may be duplicating, but I have used Misti Alpaca which is lovely. It does come in a heavy weight as well as lighter weights. I bought some of the Alpaca Baby Grand listed above too, today actually, and it is great.

Both are awesome choices!

the baby alpaca grand looks like what i need now to find it in bright orange. ill keep looking an thanks for the help

The Misti Alpaca chunky is amazing. I use it quite often and LOVE it.

I have used both of those yarns and they are both fantastic… so soft and warm.

Ditto.

Misti Alpaca ditto times two. They also have a super chunky. but it’s a 50% blend with wool.

I just finished knitting a hat with Reynolds Blizzard. It is a super bulky, but is 65% alpaca 35% acrylic. It is very soft.
