HI,

knitting the sleeves now. The waffle stitch for knit in the round is k2,p2 for the first two rounds. The pattern requests that waffle stitch be knit for the first 2 rounds. I know it seems weird I’m asking this q even though I have already kind of answered it myself but, does it mean to knit the whole waffle stitch twice before starting the increases, or do I just k2,p2 for the first 2 rows of waffle stitch and then increase?

I’m up to the part where it says

Shape Armhole
[B]Next Row [RS]: K2, ssk, work in patt to end.
Work 1 row in patt.
Repeat these 2 rows 4[5, 5, 6, 6, 8, 7, 9, 11] times more.
AT THE SAME TIME, shape neckline as follows:
Work 4[4, 4, 4, 4, 6, 6, 4, 4] rows in patt.[/B]
Next Row [RS]: Work in patt to last 4 sts, k2tog, k2.
Work 3[3, 3, 3, 3, 0, 0, 3, 3] rows in patt.

with the “at the same time part” does it mean to do the decreases at the end of the row?

I’m just really confused about this section of the instructions.

Please help.
