The Sweater That Hurt Me

Not the spy who loved me. I wish. Note to self: do not again attempt to knit a sweater in a few days. My wrist is throbbing in pain. It wasn’t anything like this while I was actually knitting. So stupid. Hope this Aleve kicks in quick.

Anyway, 5 balls of Valley Yarns Colrain in Navajo Red (hmm) and the white is a little of Cascade Pima Tencel. Size 7 needles, inspired by my Tomato love. It’s hard to see in the pic, but the part across the bust also alternates in stockinette and reverse stockinette. I don’t think I’ve seen this exact pattern before. Can I call it ā€œCheckmateā€? I was thinking about it the whole time knitting. such a dork. Started Friday morning, almost done Sunday when I noticed a little pain. Said to myself ā€œoh, i’ll take it easy, it’ll be no problemā€, and went slow (I thought) to finish this morning.

um, please pretend i’m not pulling my jeans down and showing my draw’s.

Wow, that’s lovely. I’m impressed.
I have yet to tackle a sweater. I hate seaming.

Thanks. This one was knit top down in the round in one piece, no seaming. One of the reasons I was able to get it done so quickly.

OMG, I just went and read some bits from your blog. You are hilarious!
I’m going to have to read more, but not when it’s time to put the kids to bed.
Love that sweater you tried to chop up too. Beautiful!

Wow…that is a beauty! Love the pattern across the chest! Sorry about your hands!

I Just read your other post, and you knit that in 4 days? I’m sorry about your hands, try using Mineral Ice, that usually works for me.

Great job. That is beautiful! I get R arm pain, when I knit too much! I have to take it easy!

I think we’ve all gotten hand pain at one time or another.

It’s very cute! Congratulations.
