The jogless jog

Hi all,

I have been reading a few pages on the net about this, and the one that made most sense to me was this:

http://www.socknitters.com/kickback/joglessjog.htm

However, when I attempt this on a test sock cuff, I can still see the “jog” in a colour change. I don’t really know what I am doing wrongly. Perhaps I am really not understanding. Any tips? Are there any other techniques to hide a jog?

This is how I do it -

On EVERY round - not just where colours change- slip the first stitch and knit it as the last stitch of the round. For each round the first stitch will be one over from the last, but isn’t noticeacle from the front.

This works well for hats and socks, but I think hiding the jog in the “side seam” would be better for sweaters.

Hi jacquieh,

Thank you so much for your answer!   I shall try it out this evening.
