I have just finished a child’s jumper which was knitted in textured rib. It’s such a lovely effect. Could it be substituted in any pattern that called for stocking stitch?
Thank you.

There are a couple of different sts described as textured rib. You can substitute it for stockinette as long as you take the difference in gauge and stretch between the two stitch patterns. There may be patterns where you want this stretchy rib such as hats and others where you want the drape of stockinette like some sweaters
Thank you.
