I found your post when I had the same problem…here is how I fixed it. I also made the medium, but I knit my sleeves in the round (which only matters for the first two rows) and added a pattern repeat to lengthen them. I adapted my instructions to match the pattern, assuming you were knitting it as written, so set your row counter to 130 after knitting your last row at the armpit and proceed as follows.
The correction requires doing decreases on the wrong side rows, so there are basically 3 options for decreases–right side knit (rows ending in “1”), right side purl (rows ending in “7”), and wrong side purl (rows ending in “4”).
Starting with 72 sts at the armpit on row 130 as per pattern:
